$140 for individual intake session (50 minutes)
$125 per 50-minute individual session
$175 per 80-minute individual session
$175 for couples intake session (50 minutes)

$125 for other / miscellanous consulations (50 minutes maximum)
$75 for check-ins, follow-ups, or brief consulations (25 minutes)
Cash, check, PayPal *, Venmo ("christopherharrislcsw"), and all major credit cards* are accepted for payment. Payment is expected at time of service. If prepaying, you can make a payment here.
*A $5 processing fee will be added to all credit card and PayPal transactions for every $100-increment in charges.
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the scheduled session -- no exceptions.
Services may be covered in-full or in-part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. I am currently in-network for select national, federal ("FEP"), and Louisiana plans with the following insurance agencies only :
- Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal/FEP
- United Healthcare / Optum
If you have a different insurance plan (e.g., Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO or POS, Humana, Tricare, Medicaid, Magellan, Value Options, Coventry, Cigna, Aetna, etc.), you will need to call them to verify your benefits with an out-of-network mental health provider.
All out-of-network plan members are responsible for payment of fees in-full at the time of service.
**ATTENTION COUPLES:** I do not accept any insurance for couples counseling.
**IM PORTANT:** If in-network, regardless of what is estimated as your portion, you will be responsible for the entire balance not paid by your insurance company . Having active coverage does not necessarily mean that your sessions will be covered. If I cannot determine with a reasonable degree of certainty that your insurance will cover these outpatient mental health visits, payment for each session will be collected in-full on the day of each appointment .
Therefore, please check your coverage carefully by calling your insurance company and asking the following questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- What is my co-pay?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
If you find that your sessions for any reason will not be covered by insurance, payment will be collected in-full from you on the day of your session(s).
As a courtesy to you, I will either 1) file your insurance claims if I am in-network with your insurance company, or 2) provide you with the necessary forms for you to claim reimbursement for services from your insurance company.
